Internships in my Washington, DC and district offices run throughout the fall, spring or summer semesters for college students. Internship hours are flexible to accommodate students' course schedules, but generally run 9:00 am to 6:00 pm when Congress is in session and 9:00 am to 5:00 pm when not in session.
In Washington, interns will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities, including answering phones, running errands, researching legislation for the Member and legislative staff, attending hearings and briefings and answering constituent letters. Through this program, interns will learn about the legislative process and other functions of a Congressional office.
For Washington, D.C. based interships email Kaitlin Hooker (Kaitlin.Hooker@mail.house.gov), or call our office (202) 225-3361 for more information.
In my District office, interns may be tasked with day-to-day office work such as answering phones, writing letters, working on constituent case work, and handling District-based projects.
For Flagstaff-, Casa Grande-, and NW Tucson-based internships email Keith Brekhus (Keith.Brekhus@mail.house.gov), or call our office (928) 286-5338 for more information.
