WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congressman Tom O’Halleran (AZ-01) released a statement following the Federal Communications Commission’s vote to end 2015 net neutrality regulations:
WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Reps. Michelle Lujan Grisham (NM-1) and Rep. Tom O'Halleran (AZ-1) introduced the Rural Broadband Expansion Act which would authorize $100 million in new grant funding to expand broadband in rural areas throughout the country.
The New Deal Rural Broadband Act would authorize $20 billion in federal funds for infrastructure. It would also establish an office to manage internet access programs nationwide and streamline investment.
Congressman O’Halleran says high-speed web access is critical for public safety, education and economic development.
