Arizona's First District Becomes Member of the Canada's Quarter Billion Club
WASHINGTON, DC - Today, Congressman Tom O'Halleran accepted an award from Canadian Consul General James Villenueve to mark Arizona's First Congressional District's admittance into the "Quarter Billion Club". The First Congressional District ranks as one of the top trading partners with Canada in terms of the value of goods exported on an annual basis. Last year alone, First District businesses exported $262.71 million in goods.
"Arizonans throughout the First District manufacture, grow, and produce some of the world's finest products, and trading with our international partners is critical for their success and the economic vitality of the entire region," said Rep. O'Halleran after receiving the award. "I will continue to do what I can to promote Arizona businesses, entrepreneurs, and producers, and we must continue cultivating partnerships with trading partners at home and abroad. It is an honor to receive this award from our Canadian friends on behalf of our district."
