Department of Transportation Grant Awarded to Flagstaff Airport
Washington, DC – This week, Congressman Tom O’Halleran praised a recent U.S. Department of Transportation grant, totaling $7,890,485, awarded to the Flagstaff Pulliam Airport for runway repairs.
“Air travel has a critical impact on rural Arizona communities. This grant invests in local infrastructure needs and allows the Flagstaff Pulliam Airport to continue offering safe transportation for the residents of Northern Arizona,” said Rep. O’Halleran. “As we look to the future, our local, state, and federal governments must take a comprehensive approach to fixing and improving our national infrastructure to better serve the American people.”
The nearly $8 million grant awarded by the Federal Aviation Administration will fund the rehabilitation of 8,800 feet of runway to maintain structural integrity of the pavement and minimize foreign object debris.
In addition, Rep. O’Halleran joined 45 New Democrat Coalition members earlier this week to send a letter to President Trump on the opportunity to move a big infrastructure package tied to tax reform. The letter can be found here.
