WASHINGTON – This week, Congressman Tom O’Halleran (AZ-01) announced he would oppose efforts to increase salaries for members of Congress.

“When my constituents ask for a pay raise, it is because they put in hard work and deserve compensation for their efforts, but that is not what is happening in Washington. For years, Congress has been incapable of passing a budget or addressing the needs of our communities. The idea that we deserve a pay raise is outrageous,” O’Halleran said. “We have a lot of work to do, including ensuring hardworking Americans have access to good paying jobs and quality health care, before we can even think of increasing our salaries.”
