O’Halleran Statement on Continuing Resolution

Press Release

WASHINGTON—Today, following House passage of H.R. 8900, legislation funding the government through December 18, 2020 at current funding levels, Congressman Tom O’Halleran (AZ-01) released the following statement:

“While I am relieved our brave servicemembers and hardworking federal employees aren’t entering into another disastrous government shutdown just before the holidays, this kick-the-can approach of endless continuing resolutions is outdated and ineffective. We have a responsibility to pass a bipartisan budget that invests in the future of our country, and it must be done on time every year.

“Additionally, too many Arizonans are entering this holiday season having lost a loved one to COVID-19; we need to get a new coronavirus aid package done for Americans, and we cannot in good conscience leave Washington without delivering for the families we were elected to represent.”
