O’Halleran Welcomes JoAnna Mendoza Back to Team as Deputy District Director
WASHINGTON – This month, Congressman Tom O’Halleran (AZ-01) welcomed JoAnna Mendoza to return to his team as Deputy District Director. Mendoza, a veteran herself, previously served as O’Halleran’s Veteran Service Representative in the 115th and 116th Congresses.
“I am beyond pleased to be welcoming JoAnna back to our team to serve Arizona’s First Congressional District,” said Rep. O’Halleran. “JoAnna worked tirelessly to ensure our veterans and active-duty military were able to access the resources and benefits they earned in their brave service to our country, and I look forward to working together again to assist families in every corner of our district.”
In her previous role, Mendoza ensured that servicemembers and veterans throughout the district received the benefits they were owed. Her tireless efforts resulted in securing a housing pilot program in Pinal County between the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the VA to assist homeless veterans and their families in finding and sustaining permanent housing. Most notably, JoAnna worked to prevent a planned clawback of housing funds for National Guard servicemembers stationed at Silverbell Army Heliport.
“It is my honor to rejoin the O’Halleran team, especially at a time when it is uniquely critical to ensure Arizonans are heard and are receiving the assistance they need,” said Mendoza. “I am excited to get back to work with Team O’Halleran to accomplish key goals in the district and address the challenges our communities are facing.”
