O'Halleran Praises Work of Thai Soccer Team Rescuers
WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Tom O’Halleran (AZ-01) praised the work of rescuers who saved the 12 Thai soccer players and their coach from a cave.
“Today, the prayers of so many families were answered thanks to the hard work of the Thai Navy Seals. With the help of international partners, these rescuers braved harrowing conditions to reach the young soccer players, and hearing that all the boys are in good condition is a welcome relief to everyone,” said Rep. O’Halleran. “I join my colleagues in thanking and congratulating everyone who sacrificed and worked tirelessly to rescue these boys.”
The 12 boys and their soccer coach became stranded in a cave in northern Thailand after a monsoon flooded the entrance. For 10 days rescuers were unable to find the team, but today, the final boys and coach were freed.
