O'Halleran Releases 2018 Mid-Year Report to Constituents
WASHINGTON — Today, Congressman Tom O’Halleran (AZ-01) released his 2018 mid-year report, highlighting his work for constituents and communities in Arizona’s First Congressional District over his first half of 2018.
Among the highlights, O’Halleran and his team returned more than $187,000 to First District residents, visited 30 Arizona communities, and responded to nearly 44,000 letters, calls, and e-mails from constituents.
“Over the past six month, I have crisscrossed the First Congressional District, talking to tens of thousands of hardworking Arizonans about the upcoming Farm Bill, how we can deploy rural broadband, and what needs to be done to strengthen our economy," said Rep. O'Halleran. "Arizonans are not concerned about partisan politics or divisive rhetoric. They want to see results, and they want someone in Washington who will give them a voice at the table. I cannot sit around while rural communities struggle to grow, veterans lack access to the highest quality care, or families struggle to make ends meet. I am committed to breaking down barriers to get things done."
The mid-year report highlights the work of O’Halleran and his office, including:
Nearly 500 outreach meetings with Arizonan.
145 federal issues resolved for First District residents.
More than 90 mobile offices held in rural Arizona communities.
Securing funds for veterans nursing homes in Flagstaff and Yuma.
Expediting uranium mine cleanup in northern Arizona.
Introducing and passing legislation to address the opioid epidemic.
