O'Halleran Statement on Bipartisan Senate Health Care Proposal

 SEDONA - Today, in response to the news that Senators Alexander and Murray have reached a bipartisan health care plan, Congressman Tom O'Halleran (AZ-01) released the following statement: "Arizona families live in fear that their health care premiums could skyrocket or that they could lose their access to coverage any day. For too long, Washington has played political football with their health and wellbeing, and it must stop. 

"I am pleased to see the Senate's health care proposal includes many of the key components of the bipartisan Problem Solvers Caucus's health care plan, which was unveiled in July. As a member of the Caucus, I have worked with my colleagues on sensible solutions. This is a good start to fixing our health care system and bringing stability to our families, seniors, and veterans.

"I have called for bipartisan health care solutions throughout the year, and I commend all who have put aside political dogma in favor of compromise and thoughtful policymaking that includes many policies for which I have advocated."
