Rep. O’Halleran Announces Tribal Engagement Staff

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Tom O’Halleran announced new members of his staff who will work with tribal leaders and organizations across the 1st District to focus on the needs of our Native American communities.

Jack Jackson Jr. will serve as Director of Tribal Engagement for the 1st District. A member of the Navajo Nation, Jackson most recently worked at the Department of State as the Senior Advisor and Liaison for Native American Affairs after his time in the Arizona State Legislature. Jackson has a long history representing the Navajo Nation and other Arizona tribes as well as working with Indian tribes across the country to evaluate the environmental, historic and cultural impacts of transboundary infrastructure projects.

Luther Lee, a community leader and United States Army Veteran from Teesto, Arizona, will serve as a Tribal Engagement Representative. Prior to joining Tom O’Halleran’s district staff, Lee served as the Deputy Tribal Program Director and Native American Outreach Director for the Arizona Democratic Party. A member of the Navajo Nation, Lee brings strong ties to communities across the 1st District.
