TOMORROW: O’Halleran To Participate in Energy and Commerce Full Committee Hearing on Addressing the Urgent Needs of Tribal Communities

July 7, 2020
Press Release

WASHINGTON—Tomorrow, Congressman Tom O’Halleran (AZ-01) will participate in an Energy and Commerce Full Committee Hearing on the needs of tribal communities during COVID-19 and beyond.

“This pandemic has laid bare the disparities tribal communities have faced for decades, now exacerbated by the spread of COVID-19,” said O’Halleran. “Lack of access to quality, high-speed broadband, clean water and sanitation systems, reliable electricity, and well-funded hospitals and health infrastructure have plagued tribal communities in Arizona for far too long. As a member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, I have long advocated for a hearing on these important issues, and hope my colleagues that have risen in support of tribal communities during this time will join me in continuing to fight for their rights when the coronavirus pandemic is over.”
